hi - again,
here is the stuff i did while conceptart was down. not any of my stuff is complete enough to be in the finished work forum. i would like your critiques to be aimed at where i went wrong in the pieces so that i can learn from them, for future works. i do not want to go back and revise them.
*on tangent: i miss the old smilies.
(i had posted two of these pictures, but never did see some comments before the site went down.)

Your work actually reminds me of Leon Golub paintings, especially in the subject and composition.
The color pieces are great. I wouldn't change what you're doing with those unless you have questions about a specific direction you want to go.
The black and white pieces are begging for more value. The grey one's look washed out, the linear ones look jumbled. There's no focus or movement in the compositions like in the color ones.

i DO like your style; you seem to be very sure of your lines.
the pieces that i personally favor are the ones with backgrounds (even if it is as small as a bus stop sign).
attempt changing your line weight/size frequently to establish depth and your focal points.
the beautiful thing about having a well developed style is the ability to draw anything and it can be identified as yours. However A lot of people with unique styles and good design, like yourself, get caught up drawing the same thing, (not that "killing people" is a bad thing to draw).
Feel fortunate you have found your style, and move away from your comfort zone, your style will follow...

these new smilies are cool
chris: the one that makes you dizzy is my favorite one. i need to rotate it 90 degrees counter clockwise. it looks way better.
kaini: thanks!!
theslacko: thanks! a great compliment comming from you.
pigeon: i have never seen or read any of leon golub's technique or theories, i will search him out sometime in the library at school or maybe on the net. i am not sure where i want to go with my work. i just draw for now. i want to make video games in the future, and for now i am concentrating on my schooling, and getting a bachelors of the arts. game arts and design. what a huge competition there is out there, however making games is what i want to do, so i will contintue to try.
i was going to try to color the inking of the robot, like you pros do. i have browsed through a few of your tutorials of how you do them and hope it will be a learning experience. i am trying to get the composition all figured out, it was unblananced so i want to get it right before i print it out. this WIP is comming along very slowly.

tim: whoa! thanks, that was very .. informative! seriously. i will take your words seriously. here is something less "killingpeople" that you missed before the cleaning.

made in mspaint. the cursed belt of raphael, with the help of el coro, gave the forum quite a stir -- for the best? i am not sure.
nardfrog: thank you, i think those are my favorite of the scribbley mouse technic ones i did.

I really like your work. The style is very cool. I looked at the picture for a while to find some areas of improvement. One thing I could probably say is try to be carefull in putting to many lines in the picture. Like the guy in the plad by the bus stop. The first picture and 5th are cool. theres dimension on them. the linear lines make some too flat. I guess keep in mind the dimension. But keep up the good work. I hope this helps.
