Well this is my new sketchbook thread.
Hopefully I will be able to keep this updated a couple of times a week with some progress( or lack of..).
Crits are always welcome and encouraged
These are some studies Ive been doing from the book ""anatomy for the artist" by tom flint.
Any advice, comment, anything, dont be shy!

Skunkitorium - Thanks, I took my time with that one and really put some thought and effort into learning it.
Goog - Thanks although I can promise you their much more scratchy and rough in my sketchbook. Its a poor camera so the rough light lines dont really show too well.

DO more of those Arm things. If you can find a cast anywhere, perferrabley plaster (though they are sooo expensive but worth it- or so I hear), set it up and draw it as well as you did that arm- only 10 times weller. Better. Whatever.
keep drawing, your method seems fine to me.
P.S.- HOW many freaking books are there called "Anatomy for the artist?" I have heard of about 4 or 5, 3 of which I have heard of more than 3 times each.

Justing Oaksford - haha yeah it seems to be one of those titles where the phrase "if it aint broke, dont fix it" seems to fit. I think most of those books are fairly similar although the illustrations and studies seem to vary a little. I think which book(s) you use are totally down to personal preference and budget.
Theres a museum/art gallery near my home that, according to a friend, has some wonderful casts so Im going to check that out and see what all the fuss is about. They allow use of casts and paintings for study if you book in advance so maybe Ill give that a try before splashing out on my own.
Thanks for stopping by!
