hey! finally went through my two current sketch books and scanned some stuff to display. there are two different methods that i use in my books, one is straight up ball point pen for my smaller book, and in my larger book i usually just use a prismacolor, or those derwents that i'm trying to use up quickly, and ballpoint over prismacolor... three methods, three different methods. ok, here we go. there's no real order to these, since i cut and paste them to fit in a 800x800 jpeg.

i especially like that comic-like rendition of the queen of the damned and that rocking little devil on the last page...although i think there's something strange about his right shoulder?

your more realistically looking style is great too - i dig that priestess-like woman with those two blades - did you do more sketches in this style?

i'm not crazy about the chica sitting on the table, but that's what happens every now and then. i want an ax for to take to school. then we'll see how many people light up their smelly cancer toobs.

and that's the end of that. i'll start a brand spanky new thread with my new daily sort of drawings. i'm setting a goal for myself to draw more landscapey/architectural stuff from life. if i actually go outside my apartment into that city thing they've got out there remains to be seen. piece!

ah yes kafka t-shirt on the chick with the flame throwing helmet. well you see the bug next to her? well we were all sitting around on break out on the patio when this enormous bug about the size of my foot comes scurrying out among the tables and chairs. well, i set about drawing it before the other students saw it and tried to burn it with their nasty cigarettes. i knew that it was none other than gregor samsa from kafka's short, "metamorphisis." that's why she's wearing that shirt. kafka is neeeet. i need to read his stuff again for it is fuzzy and vague in my mind.

for my intro to 3d waste of a class we had the super challenging task of modeling a simple house to make monkeys of maya's poly tools. so i sketchered this... stuck it up on a hill and put some bamboo around it.
