Alright Matt, you asked for crits..

lets start out with the anatomy.. basically, its all of.
From the eyes, to the chin.. its half a head.
from the eyes, to the top of your head.. its half a head.
One arm, is 3 heads long.
The whole body is 8 head tall. between the fingeres. if you stretch
your arms out.. I mean between the top of your middlefingers its 8 heads!
Between the shoulders..it fits 3 heads.. not 3 heads tall, but 3
heads beside eachother. From the bottom of your neck down to the hip, it be 2 heads in between.
If you devide the body into to parts.. The top part, starting from
the crutch and upp, it be 4 heads! and some easy mathematics would
say that its 4 heads from the crutch down to your feets .
If the upper arm is pointed down, and the underarm is pointed UP to
the hand, then fine.. if it the upper arm is pointed BACK, then that be
extremly annoying for your shoulder.. you CAN have your arm tilted back like that, but it hurts alittle, and its no "natural position" heh.
You seem to have alittle grasp of the over body. But still, there are lines that
define where etc the ribs are , that just doesnt make sense.
The ribs, the bones that goes from your back, and to your chest.. They are
much more wither than that. and they dont goes underneath the hip bone. I promise ya =) whatever pose you have.
Ohwell.. this takes time to learn.. and I could write it all up for you.. but
that be no point with that. As I said, it takes time.

On your guy though, i say its 'around' 4 heads to the crutch to
the top of the head.. but about 7 heads from the crutch to the feets.. (imaginate your guy
standing up now!) and this even if you have tried to do a foreshortening on the legs etc,
Another thing to point out is that your feets are bigger then the face/head.
Look down on your own feet.. is it that big ? I doubt it.
If you relax, and look where your elbow comes.. where is it ? yeah, the top of the hip, the "hardness"
you can feel, the bone, the hip, whatsoever thats where the elbow gets, right ? since
you have hidden to much of the left arm (his left!) its hard to see what
pose it has. (thats also a bad idea btw, to hide parts)

Also, try to think alittle more before you put the lines down.. I mean.. You have yourself , right ?
since your nick is MATT, i guess your real name is Matti, or Mathias, or something like that..
And that would mean your a guy.. right ?
Why not just stand up, and test that pose yourself ? I dont mean the whole pose, but try
to imaginate how you want the arms to be.. Also you DO have more then one paper to sketch
on.. if you have doubts over what the arm should look like.. draw 2 lines, in the directions you
want the over and upper arm to be.. and test it yourself! its not harder then that! also
considerate the shoulder when your doing that.. Like now.. the second example i guessed for
ya..it hurt alittle by doing so. Just lay down a little thouhgt behind your work, and it be tons better,
no matter how long you have been drawing, or how good you are at it!
Also.. That hand , the left one ( still his left!) its to big.. We used to joke in school
that if you had a bigger hand than your face, you had cancer... that guy would have
cancer if that be truth =) Just notice!
If you press your thumb agains your mouth, and you have the thumb pointing up , it be
touching your nose, just slightly over it.. this if the lower part
of the thumb, (im speaking of the whole thumb, where the bone starts) is tocuhing your
chin. Advanced, ? no. its simple. Try to use your imagination , and test it on yourself.
Am I sounding like a bitch now ? no.. im just giveing you crits. and im being brutally
hounest with ya, and as you said on IRC, that was ok! ; )
The right arm, and hand , seems to have alot better proporations
though. it fits the "anatomy rules" by 3 heads, and from the top of the
middle finger, all the way into the middle of your chest, it looks like its 4 heads , good job on it!
Although, the hand looks a tad to big.. but much better then the left hand (his left!) so, not much
to crit, exept that you could hide less, and detail more.
From the navel to the crutch it be 1 head, that be easy from now and on, right ? =)
In your picture, that maybe is right, but its to messy to see, since your still
hide everything under these BIG swoshy clothes.
Alright, over to the clothes. I can admit it myself.. clothes are uber hard to draw.. Lets
pretend i have studied clothes alot..(I havent done much I tell you, but at least alittle, enough for
knowing the basics.) They still be shit-hard to figure out.. the wrinkles are though comeing from the most
stretched point.. that be the basic.. lets say you take a long drapery, and stand on it.. then sit
down take it over your knee, and then under your ass. (heh) /like normal jeans!\ it would only stretch
and create wrinkles around the knee.

http://www.andrelucero.com/Drapery.JPG
Check this.. Try to figure it out! even if this isnt stretched, you can
see that the wrinkles are created on the top.. and they are being less at the bottom, right ? same with
the clothes that you are wearing right now (hopefully )
the wrinkles are created at the point the clothes are stretched.. study clothes, im gonna do that now aswell =)

The design of the drapery/cloth thing that is attached to the upper body
could be alot better.. first off, the fact that you did hide all limbs related to
the arms is bad.. You could make some sort of attachment, like a curtain,
even if that isnt so pratically, it help the picture alot.. juts something around the arm, to show
the mass of the arm at least and not hide it. and from that
you put the clothes.. (just an idea of course..) You could colour and detail the
clothes that much that it would compensate the anatomy but right now, it doesnt look so good hideing it!
hmm

over to the facials.. it looks like you paused a
fight scene from "the last samurai" and tried to copy Tom Cruise's head down, hehe,
The facials are not bad at all, in fact its one of the better thing with the piece! The
eyes though, looks alittle flat, or the eye area,
One thing is that the eye itself is only one line.. I would say try to find a
reference of the eye, and even if its not gonna be detailed (the face) still
try to get the facials features down so you can spot
what is what, right ?

Alright, my fingers are tired now.. if you want even more crits.. i give ya, but
not right now ;) Have fun.
