First art post....here goes

Hey, first of all I've been addicted to this site for almost a year now but have never had the guts to post anything of my own. The diversity and quality of the work I see here every day is incredible.

Ok, now that that's out of the way.... I'm 18, just graduated from high-school. I've always loved to draw, but have never taken it seriously enough to really put effort into improving. I've never taken any classes or had anyone really teach me anything, and unlike some people around this forum, it shows.

I think this place is a great resource, and I would be really happy to get any feedback.

This first one I painted about two weeks ago. I was a little more depressed than usual, but I felt better after this. PS and mouse, about an hour.

Something I did for a school project last year. Decided to combine two of my favorite paintings.

There is nothing wrong with your work so far. I like everything you have posted for us to see, not bad for not taking any formal classes (don't let that intimidate you, many great artists never set foot in an art school).

Did this one for a friend about a month ago. It's about 2 or 3 hours worth of work in PS. Even though it has issues, this is one of my very few digital pieces that I would call finished. I'm pretty new to any digital media, started a couple months ago. I want to eventually get a drawing tablet.

I think I'm going to start a daily sketchbook thread, so this will be the last thing I post in here. It's a quick sketch in charcoal.

Comments noted. I'll probably take some sort of classe(s) eventually, but I'm kind of lost and confused at this point in my life
