DEADLINE
SUNDAY, JANUARY 14th
The way the deadline works: if deadline is on a Sunday and your image is posted on that Sunday 23:59 your local time it's a good entry.
In fact - as long there is Sunday somewhere on the planet your entry is ok. I will make the poll sometimes Monday afternoon my time (GMT +2) yet i'll have a look at the last entries.

Inside Shoemaker Store

http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=82605

This is ment to be a miniature OR a digital representation.
For the digi-boys all it's clear. The reference this time is just for inspiration.
SCULPTORS

Miniature/Maquette - like the ones used in movies.. ussualy for explosions...
see the Miniature Museums and other.
Try to find materials and make the textures.
Use doll parts (shoes, dollhouse products etc) and other parts available.
Anything goes as long as in the picture it looks real.

NOTES:
Before we roll the orthos i will kindly ask you to consider upploading your 3d files to the website along with the render.
the ideea is - we can use the models for other activities - texture challnege, light & shader, animation, etc
This is optional!

this is not available this round!
For the Sculptors:
If you want you can send the sculpt to the artist who did the ortho. I ma sure they will be so happy to see touch their concept for the 1st time.
It will motivate a lot of people to submit concepts and it will help up all along in the long run. Again.. this is optional!

EOW pieces (not quite orthos):

Big thank you to this artists. They should be available for more info - try to work with them.

Here are some pictures taken by Sharpshooter and some of mine at the miniature museum in Lyon.

This is the level of detail we should get. These rooms are about 20-30cm high.

There is a lot of time ahead for this challenge and some nice Christmass days ahead. I think the topic and the activity is suitable for the comming moments.
I hope you like it and if you dare to venture... i hope you will enjoy this.

Whoa great entries Sundance and Jensen!
I hope some of these get realised, would be awesome to see them for "real".
Anybody who has decided which one to take or has already started? Would be cool to see some WIP's.

Yep, i'm gonna try Jensen's.. It seems like the easiest to execute (not easy though!) because has the most information and it's just one agle, so no walls that are in the way.. i should be able to start today after i gets me supplies, wish me luck :yayca:

Hello everyone!
I think I found enough bravery to post:D

I am going to try Jensen's design. I know I am going to butcher it, but it should be a great learning expirience.:)
Thank you Jensen for the wonderful design, I love the cozy/fairy tale feeling it seems to have. I'll do my best to do some justice to it.

I hope everyone else is progressing well on this:)

These are some WIPs for the Jensen's design. I know the proportions are off, the head needs to be a bit bigger and I need to finish carving his legs.
Will start on details and the table tomorrow.

Kostik
//Again, thanks to all the artists who are contributing to the challanges!
//Your work is trully inspirational.
Edit:too many pictures:)
Edit2:Ok I figured out how to do the table, now on to the walls:) So far this is a lot of fun:) Is anyone else going to post WIPs? Oh and any ccs or tips are welcome since I know I need all the help I can get.

Thank you Cat. I am far from done on mine too. I have the armature for the walls done, but I have no clay at the moment to use on it, so it will wait until I get more this weekend.
