This is my first post on this site and I'll be very grateful if you'll tell me what you think about this WIP

looks great so far.
i love the shading.
however i think u have a different problem. i think the anatomy of a lions face is slightly different that that of your picture. try to look up some reference. ur technique is great tho!

you are right and I also realized it when I was pretty advanced with the shading...
And because it is indeed very time consuming i decided to finish it this way fixing the anatomy issues after that.

Nicely done. The anatomy is "wrong", but it's convincingly handled. Whether it's a problem or not would depend on the context the picture was being used in.

I intend to use this picture as my avatar,so as I figured out until now won't be any other context where I'm gonna use it.

That Romanian language is weird! It feels like Latin, French, Italian, and one gets the idea that one should be able to read a few words of it, but thats impossible to me. Strange feeling, like hearing Luxeburgian as a Dutch person, your mind tells you you understand it but you actually dont. Took me a while to see it was Romanian.

The lion is quite cool, also good that he has foreshortening. The upper teeth are too close to the front of the face though, he needs space for an upper lip, gums, and so on.

But its a nice lion.

Any foreign language is strange for someone who has no ideea about it.Try me with your language...and I don't think I have to tell you what I'll understand!:bash: I think I won't be able to find-at least-any ressemblance with any other language...:mad:
But you managed more than that!!!:chug:Indeed romanian is a latin language as you said,but it is a bit more difficult than other latin languages...And it is much more easier for romanians to learn french or italian than for french or italians to learn romanian...and belive me I have some relatives in Italy,so I suppose I know what I'm talking about....

Thanks for your replay!All that anatomical issues are because I had only a single drawing with a relaxed lion as model and everything else is from imagination(-stupid-pride,I wanted to see how far can I go...).I'll probably fix it after I'll finsh it as it is now ...
