Love the expression of the second one.

Thanks guys! Always good to hear nice things from talented people :)

re: media

I work all digitally. Every one except the second one and the orc one was done in photoshop. The remaining two are done in painter classic (friend of mine managed to get the older version working on my machine). All were done start to finish in the computer

re: project

The WoTC project was for Fields of Ruin. The top one is a drawing of the character Hellchick (from Quake 3- I work with the woman it's based on) and the other two were just stuff I thought up.

Thanks again!

the one with the earth elementals coming from the brickwall is amazing...
crit: not sure if I dig the wall behind the 6 armed gorilla dude, it seems a little out of place for such an exotic design.

Generally what i do is sketch out the drawing in photoshop with a round brush that fades off (it's one of the default brushes-says 19 after it i think). Nothing really that special, just work general shapes and refine from there. I use the third brush down the default brush menu in photoshop when i start the 'inking' process. I might have several layers of refining until i start the inking but usually it's about 2-3 but I usually colapse them. Too many layers confuses me as does math and complex shapes:). I also have a tendency to resize, move slightly, liquify effect, etc parts of the drawing.
