So I need a laptop

Like the title states, I need a laptop. I want to do photograpy work(Digital Images and Photoshop), school work, and music, the basic junk that teenagers do with computers. I would like to spend between 5 and 900 dollars. Anyone have some suggestions? I was looking into Hewlett Packards and Gateways but open to suggestions. Thank you very much.

For portable on-the-spot digital work I highly recommend either a Dell Latitude or an IBM Thinkpad. Both are business-class models and thus have a very durable and sturdy chassis for travel. For your price range, look into getting a used Latitude D610 or maybe even a D620 if you can, I've got a D600 myself I bought last year used and I've had absolutely no problems with it despite getting it off e-bay.
