Hamsta - Not bad, drab mechanical mandatory man power. You could sharpen the linings on the spinning rotors.

Keep doing you

Some nice stuff so far. I like the well thought out perspective of your killing machine watereater. Another great piece from you horsefly a killer crab.

Excuse the background a burning city is'nt as easy to paint as i thought. And i think my machine looks a bit symmetrical. I mean how hard is it to draw something asymmetrical.

Hi folks, I've been lurking for a while but finally picked up a tablet to work with.

Bahh... Some crit's. Trying to (hopefully) be more helpful to people than I have been with my crit's in the past.

Vulgar`: Thanks for your comments. I do wish you'd join in, becouse I've noticed you post comments often since I started DSG and I've always liked the encouragement you give to us 'noobs'. :)

watereater: Nice ideas, but the two-tone background really breaks up the image too much for me. You've pinned the topic down well, but IMHO it's too many different bits bolted on. I had trouble with this myself, haha. Keep posting!

Risikoman: Ah, first post. Welcome. I hope you stick around. I can understand you using the actual stance of your character to represent the 'asymmetrical' part of the topic, but I think you would need to push the idea further to make it work. Good, solid first post though. I hope you stick around. :)

Hamsta: One of the best I've seen from you. It doesn't really push the concept of the topic too well (I'm most guilty of that too many times in the past), but the image is solid and does have a good sence of weight . I'm not liking the rotor blades though.

Mitze: I'm thinking your best DSG yet. Very solid design of the ship and I'm liking the background. I'm not liking the overkill of blue light spots on the craft, but I have done the same many times in the past.

asaru: Haven't had a chance to say 'hi' so I'll say it now. :) Not your best sketch (judging from earlier DSG's) but still has lots of good points. I guess you know about the anatomy/perspective problems but your other DSG's have been fuckin' awesome. Dig deeper next time... you've proved you can wikki higher. :)

earFuzz: Hi. I would say the shadow doesn't really work and looks like an afterthaught, but you have stuck to the topic and given a solid design. it might not be that original, but it works well as far as mass/weight goes. Hope to see more.

THanks for the feedback horsefly :) I have a hard time rendering in general, and that shadow really showed it. Anyway, I had some free time to do another one, this time with good old pencil and paper...

Rockin' stuff everyone. I"m glad to see so many entires. I was afraid to try my hand at this one.

ashton, why is it called a hand tank? I tohught it'd be shaped like ahand, but I"m not seeing it. Does it have something to do with how it is driven or something? Or am I missing it?

mitze, rockin' design, love the burning city. I like yours and horseflies the most as of this post.

Keep up the great work everyone! ^_^

Hey, new to the forums. turned out rough after the scan, still figuring out how to separate the pencil lines from the white of the paper in CS2.

Quickly colored.

Crit?

I sketched machine and then I noticed today's DSG topic. What a coincidence! My red bladecraft completely fits this description.

Horsefly That machine of yours is doing a little dance, trying to stay upright, but with all that weight on the front, it's pretty much doomed to fall, and create a giant snowball.
Great form, textures, and lighting. Share the brush love!

A hand is asymetrical, thus the left leg is a thumb and the 3 right legs are the
fingers. To balance the design without making it symetrical the cannon barrel or pinky finger is on the opposite side to the thumb.

Put your hand on the table in front of you thumb out fingers facing in and you will get it.

The AKM6, a nanobot designed for the destruction of blood-borne contagions
and for the removal of cholesterol blockages within the bloodstream,
has been recently recalled by manufacturers en masse upon the discovery
that they can be remotely hacked and hijacked, potentially used for the rending
of arteries and other tissues by nefarious individuals.

A spokesman for Nanocide Technologies has declined to comment on how many,
if any, have fallen victim to this particular bug.
