This is a representation of Hindu god Shiva. He's is being depicted here as Nataraja, Lord of the dancers. Hope you like it.
Comments and crits for improvements on next works are welcome.

Wow, Shiva is painted beautifully and I love the pose.

The only two things that bother me are the little person she is standing on should be lit with more the brighter light and darker shadows that Shiva has. Also the landscape needs more falloff, that is it doesn't receed back into space well. The mountains to the left and right of the characters have the same saturation and values as the ones in the background.

I agree with the other comments. Shiva looks awesome... Lots of great details... cool style... I like the "circle"... how it's sort of enlivening the typical sculptures.

The background and the little guy, however, don't seem to do the figure of shiva justice. That's where I would add more work, but if you're done, no worries, be proud, it's an awesome piece.

As Alanis Morrissete said, "you live, you learn". I'm not used to paint BGs, and I was presented to the value perspective thing just recently... I tried to make diferente values between the midplane and the BG, but it seems I have to be more agressive next time. No problem, it was a great learning exercise to me, and as bonedog said, I'm proud of this image, although it's far from perfect.
About the little demon, he represents the human ignorance, so I decided not to give so much light to him as I gave to Shiva. It was an simbolic effect, that the ignorance was an obscure thing. But I apreciate your crits, and they will be in my mind for next works.
Big thanks for you guys, for your comments.

i really like this one. To be quite honest.....i didnt at first glance, but i glanced a bit closer. for example, the way you depicted the light bouncing off his hands...

can you do sarasvati??!

Really wonderful piece man, the only thing I noticed was that while looking at the painting my eye kept wandering to that tall mountain in the background close to the extended foot. I think its interfering with the focus on Shiva. Otherwise, awesome rendering.

Good job, you're always improving.

I don't like the mountains in the back. Also there is a problem with his/her upper right shoulder but I can't tell exactly what it is.

Great job, keep them coming.
