/m\ yes, it is a strange thing. it grows on me despite the fact that I am infact female! I HAVE HAIR ON MY ARMS! and sometimes I think, when looking at artwork, I must be the only female with it....

so....

post any and all artwork that depicts a close up of a female *cough cough* a little more accurately. as far as I concerned were not plastic dolls......

But that's not really unusual is it? I notice hair on arms on a lot of girls, especially blondes since the light hair stands out.

I do believe thatīs exactly what she means... If thatīs normal, why womem portraited in art arenīt showed that way? In the other hand, men are also idealized a lot, so... Here goes a few more ugly images for you!

everyone has hair on their arms, but if you are going to concern yourself with painting something as minute and massless as hair on arms, you might as well start rendering the skin pores on characters faces

LoL, I open up the thread and BAM! Giant pussy on my screen...ahh, have I told anybody that I love this site?

As for the whole "hair" thing, I know I usually don't draw hair on women (or men...but I draw fewer of those) anywhere but the head because....it's hard and I'm no Rembrandt. Though I will grant that it brings up a valid point, through the various styles of portraitism (hooray made up words)you vary rarely see a woman who's hairy anywhere at all save for the head. I suppose it's mostly because men would prefer a hairless woman as opposed to a hairy one. But hey if you're going for realism, then draw however much hair you want.

Though I'd say most women actually don't have hair on their arms, but I've seen some who do and it's not terrifying or anything, it's just there. So if you feel inclined to draw hair...anywhere, then I say go for it.
