Heh, heh. I like this. Just a few crits though.
I'd maybe put in an EKG meter thingie on the right showing his declining heartbeat to fill up some of that empty space. And I think the meter would help drive the notion home that he's dying. And you could have fun with the heartbeat line on the machine. Maybe have the blips draw out the face of Death of something? Or your cartoon club’s logo?
And is he sitting on the floor or a chair? Kind of hard to tell. I'd add a chair (perhaps a wheelchair?) that he's sitting on. Or the floor and wall he's leaning against if he's on the floor. Also, his right arm seems a bit high, kind of an awkward angle. It looks as it's resting on something.

Good job though. Please post the color version (if you are planning to color it) I'd like to see it.

I meant to comment on this, but sorry for not doing so. I really like it, I like his comeover:p

I also get the sense he's floating in air, theres no wheelchair, or bed, or anything. That's my only crit. I'd love to see it colored.
