Teen Challenge #21: Mascot

Sorry I'm so behind on this. I'll get the poll thread for #20 up when I can, hopefully later tonight. It'd take a lot faster, but the majority of the entries this time weren't remote-linked so I need to upload them myself.

And congrats to Evil_Sloth for winning challenge #19.

The Rules:
Anyone ages 13-19 may submit an entry at any time before the deadline, and any medium (sans photograghy) is allowed.
Your entry may include a brief description if you like.
Please host your image on a remote image-hosting site instead of uploading it to the CA server. This makes it much easier to transfer it to the poll thread.

The Topic:
Character: Teen Challenge Mascot
As Keng said, after 20 challenges it's probably about time we got our own mascot. Open to interpretation, it can be anything you think would make a good mascot for us. Thanks to Narmo for the topic suggestion!


The Deadline:
Wednesday, December 13th at midnight PST
About two weeks again. By that that time the semester will be over for most of us, myself included, so hopefully these challenges will pick up some more after.

I've really been slacking on my entries. School's starting to finally slow down, so I can't see why I won't be able to participate in this one, especially since I think this will be a great topic. Can't wait to see what people come up with!

Exellent. I hope to see some good competition for this one. I'm considering using my spares to sit in the school computer lab and take advantage of their PSP :D. I've already got some ideas going, and I can't wait to get started, so on that note, I'm off to do some brain-storm sketching ;)

Hihi yes, it's next monday so I still have some time, but its a huge test. Last year the class had a 2 out of 10 average.. So that's very very bad :P
So I need to do some serious studying soon ^^. But not today I guess, for I need some serious sleep too :P

I love your bird Narmo.. Its a very very cool idea, and it it's a bit more worked out it will definately get my vote. It fits the Teen Challenge soo nicely.

I hope you like his "plumage" (I think this word exist in English but I'm not sure, sorr), it's in fact what I did during this last houre :o

I really like the "graphic" part of your mascot Noë, it's sweet and fits to teens. But I think -and I'm sure you know it, it may be just because of the time required- that's not detailled enought.
One thing I can't get is the facial expression, don't really understand it, maybe because of the general gesture of your character, dunno :er:

smartkyle => Really like your style, between painting and graphics, and that's a nice anatomical study btw.

EDIT: The more I look at this WIP, the more I prefer the first step, without this "plumage". argh :s What do YOU think of ?

Hey guys, I'd really like to take part in that comp, especially since that the result of it will have some impact on the T-dome as a whole(not that I intend to win it or somethin, just to take part! :) ) Is there any chance for the deadline to be postponed a bit? That way everyone will have time to polish their entries and the overall quality will reach new heights. Plus I'll have time to produce something! :D

Phew. Finnished. Considering it's my first real fully finnished piece done on the computer, I'm rather happy with it. I swam through quite a few tuturials and did a lot of practice doodles as I'd never used PSP before really. I spent all my spares on it as my only access to the program is at school. Today my teacher came around to mark all the little banners I was supposed to be working on. He shrugged off the fact that I didn't have any of them (about 4 or 5) done because he knew I'd been working on this. Thank goodness for good teachers. Anyway, enough rambling.

Narmo: :) C'est une tres jolie petite poule. Un peu plus de detail sur les pieds. J'aim le "plumage". .... Est je pense que ton englais et mieux que mon francais...

Noe: That looks much better with the blue background. It got lost before in the other one. Also I really like your swirls. :D

I agree with my entry having to be more detailed, but ah for the time I spent on it it has turned out well.. Facial expression was supposed to be some kind of big smile, wait I'll upload my awful reference picture to show you what sort of expression I was going for.. hihi I should've taken a better one, but ah well..

I might try to add some lines and a few adjustments to the face.
But not more than half an hour because I need to go to school in one hour :P
Why is the life of teens so busy and full of schoolwork? :P

Concept:
This l'ttle chick embodies US, the youth, since it's the young version of the Massive Black Logo wich's leading this forum. The Teen Challenge allowed the chick to go up, to "grow" and to learn to reach this aim.
