LOOK BELOW TO SEE MY LATEST CHANGE TO THIS DESIGN

I am trying to pinpoint a style for myself, here is the same design done in 3 styles, please could you tell me what you think is the best one?

1) This is kinda inspired by the "bone" guy who posts here, using one main colour throughout.

2) This is usually how I work, using photoshop to add lots of colours.

3) This has been coloured in using markers and white pencil, the problem with this is that you cannot give it a textured background as it does not "multiply" in photoshop.

Thanks in advance for your advise!

very original..but somehow it more reminds me of some sort of wierd fruit rather then a tree.
maybe u should skip the bright yellowish coulors and go for more of a nature tone..like a little darker green...
oh and i liked the second one :)

I really like the style you have going on. It's nice and clean. Do you clean up over your sketches when you move on to inking?

What do you mean by clean up?, I just pencil in, ink and then erase the pencil.

I finally went for no3 (one using markers) but added colour using overlayers in photoshop, this allowed me to add a textured background also.

Is this the best one then?, thanks
