Wow! These are great. And for 20 min. Thats espectacular. Do you use conte or charcoal, and this isn't newsprint, is it?
Are you going to an art school? Let me know some more info about you.! I'm addicted....

Forge/R_M - Thanks:D , I am trying to get into color (hesitantly) with pastels. And I do some digital color work.
I.was.ink - Thanks for the kind words! These were done at Sheridan College in Canada while I was there taking the Classical Animation Program. I used a combo of hard conte for dark shadows and white conte for bright highlights and some very light compressed charcoal for the midtone areas. And actually this is newsprint but it's a very hard type to find. It is very very smooth which is uncharacteristic for newsprint. I hate that rough crap. I bought this by the case when I found it but haven't had any for years. I'm convinced it's worth it's weight in Gold!!
AmadorL - Thanks! I haven't had enough lifedrawing classes but you never really can. I had about 3-5 hours of lifedrawing class 5 days a week for 4 years...now I only get to about one 3 hour class a week. I'd like to do more but the bills require I have a fulltime job!
Here's some more of my more recent stuff...without my sorely missed smooth newsprint !:realmad:
Thanks again guys for taking a look and for the comments:
(These are 10-20 minte poses)

Wow 4 years huh shocked: five days a week huh
Well i am going to begin life drawing this fall and I was thinking of taking 2 classes so i would be taking it 4 days a week. It would be with 2 different instructors so I don't know if that is a good idea. What can you advice me on this?
Thanks

AmadorL - any lifedrawing you can get take it! Do it as much as you can and if you only get one good page per class you're happy with that's alright. Somedays you'll get nothing and somedays you'll think the drawing angels are sitting on your shoulders! The main thing is to keep at it as long as you can...it will make all the difference in any art you produce.
P.S. thanks for the compliment! I am a huge fan of KChen. His lifedrawing rocks!

Thanks for the reply and you are welcome. Yeah I can some of his influence in your work.
I will definitely take the 2 classes then, and I know what you mean I remember some pretty bad days where I couldn't get anything right and days where I did real good 5 min poses.
I was taking a life drawing class but since I did have the prerequisite it didn't count and near the end I stopped going.
P.S. I will be talking KChen class after a couple of classes at a local community college. I can't wait to see him in action.
keep'em come'n
