This is sth that i drew just a couple of days ago, its a live portrait, for a guy at my college.... sooooo long since i last did a live portrait, so hope u like it.

I like your method of shading. You're catching the forms well, and you've managed to fend off the white background nicely. His eyes, and to a lesser extent also his nose and lips look a little bit iconic, still, (meaning they look a little more like the idea of an eye than the way an observed idea actually looks.) But it's not bad, and that iconic-ness will fade after doing a few portraits from life.
