Hey.
I had to practice my anatomy, so I drew this one.
I showed it to a friend and he sad it would look like a little girl. Another one saw an old lady with a face-lifting. :D
So I want to know what you see, and what you think of the drawing and what critics or comments you have.
Thank you.

... and I can't draw hands and I fear I'll never learn it. :(

Did you draw it from ref?
It reminds me of a book of mine by Louise Gordon...
Did you smudge the pencil? dont. practice shading.
Aand, well the porpotions are still a bit wrong...
Not much to say but "keep on working".

Thank you Aidan.
Yes you are right. I drew it from ref. I also have that book and looked at some pictures, to learn where the shadings have to be, and so on. I took two of pictures in the book and mixed them up, so that I somehow got an "own" pose. I Also tried to change the face (the nose ...) a bit, because I didn't want to copy everything.
You said the proportions are wrong. - where?
(Ok, one hand is bigger than the other one)

There's a few places where the proportions could use work, the shoulders and head are probably the ones that hurt the picture the most.
The shoulders appear too small when next to the head. The two parts fight each other, making their sizes look off.

Thanks.
One more question:
What pencils do you use?
I usually use an F or H for the sketch and a 2B or 3B for the shadings. (and sometimes even a 9B).

Yes, I smudged it.
Next time I won't do it again.

I use a 2H for the framework and basic details (eye location, nose shape, body type.)
Then I use a 2 or 3B pencil for outlining special features, and I shade inside with any pencil below 2B and above 2H.
