Welcome to the forum's first holiday gift exchange activity. Instructions and dates for interested members in the link above.

I have an idea. Participants, help me make the first post a kick ass "splash page". If your time permits, you can create bits and pieces artwork to adorn/accesorize the splash. I've thought of a condom christmas tree with blinking lights pic (idea thanks to Ilaekae :} ) but the majority of you might find that offensive.

So, pm me with the link to your trinket/trimming/decoration pic or attach them in the discussion thread or somewhere else in the forum (if, like me, you don't have the attachment feature in this sub-forum) and I'll update the first post.

If you want it incorporated in the banner make something small 100 x 100 or less (or something avatar size) so I can fit it in.

Re: greeting card types of pics. For now let's try size restriction to 300 x 400. Incorporate your text message with the actual art. You can address anyone you like specifically (hopefully a CA member) or all of CA. Same thing, pm me with link or let me know where to dowload attachment so I can update the post.

Your box image has to be a hosted pic and not an attachment for this to work.

Simply, edit your post. Highlight your image. Click the "Insert Link" icon in the message reply tool bar (it's the Globe with chain link icon, below the smiley face icon). Paste URL of your surprise unwrapped present.

Careful not to copy & paste the [IMG] tags, otherwise the link would be broken. Preview your post once or twice to make sure it works.

If you have further questions just PM so I can get back to you faster.

I knew this was gonna happen. Too bad my charity box t-dome idea was DOA.

Maybe for next year we'll require a "deposit" gift from each participant prior to the match up.

Big thanks for all who actually participated (workshop people feel free to do your presentations as soon as it's convenient for you). I actually consider this event a success, and something we can use as reference for future activity ideas.

As I've mentioned I have a Valentines themed one which I'll propose...next month! (February is just two months away). I hope you'll consider trying that out too. "Why?" Consider for a minute the male-female ratio of CA. "M'kay, so...what?" Two words: Random selection. :wink:
