... Do you guys have any suggestions as to what i should be keeping an eye out for? I am having a meeting with a councilor/advisor to ask him a few questions.

I already have read a few great posts, especially the one about the nincompoop (if nothing else i hope i learnt how yo spell that word) teachers i might be finding. Because of it i will be pouring my goals and what i believe i need to do to get there (what each of the steps might have to be) and how i might have to do it. Therefore i think i will have a better idea of what i need to get out of this course.

The plan, even without thinking, is and always has been comic books. Comic books because they are storytelling in a graphic format and i LOVE storytelling. It is what i want to do, and so is comic books.

The certificate or diploma (depending on what i end up doing) will be a fine arts course. SO i will hopefully have life drawing, perspective, sculpture, painting, photography and quite a few i never thought of i am sure. I will only be able to do it part time so i will also have to choose in what order i will do these subjects.

So, any ideas/suggestions/heads-up you might want to give me?

Thanks for looking!

You may want to keep an eye out for classes like "Illustration", "Graphic Design" and "Typography". All of these will be very helpful for doing comic layouts.

I think you will be fine if you just keep your eyes on your goal. Even if they insist on you doing hard core abstracts in some class, you can do Kandinsky looking ones instead of Pollock, and the teacher doesn't have to know that your underdrawing was actually a three point perspective cityscape. By feeling them out it may turn out surrealism will get the grade, and thus you are still drawing real world things. You're merely arranging them weirdly.

See that went so over my head but it got me excited because it's stuff that i am going to learn. So if she/he does make me do abstracts, then i will definitely do my research on Kadinski and see where i can go from there. To take my goal into consideration in your response to give me something i can use is an incredible gift of your time and knowledge and i totally appreciate it.

Much obliged indeed!!:)
