Excelent! I love the textures! Just out of curiosity, for the texture son the plated parts, did you use some sort of special brush, or did you just make many small strokes?

Thanks all for comments, but more critiques please :p

Dementist: On the 'fish' I didn't used any custom brush, just little strokes as you say. On the wings of the "insect" I used "scattering" on a 20% or less, but for lack of time for details :p

excellent work

if it is concept work for a 3d game you did a great job suggesting the textures and such...the structures will have to be simplified of course....I was going to suggest painting the structure in a way that could actually be modelled for the game you are working on...but you know what...i honestly prefer to look at cool concept art and not just production looking stuff. so...cheers...great job.

Jason Manley: Thanks. we always do a 'blueprint' version religiously, but we keep that as 'production stuff' as you say. And yes, it will be 'funny' to simplify it for modeling :D

Just an unrelated comment but your site...the concept link and the colored works link seem to be swaped. The colors link takes you to black and white work. :) Great stuff.

great drawings and your colors just add mounds to the art specially the different lights of color hitting different angles. great job.
