The topic reminds me of the legend of the Tailypo. The hunter cuts off the tail and then makes a nice soup out of it, but the Tailypo has sharp claws, and demands its tail back....

Lord Toffee wasn't the best of trappers in the forest of terrors, but certainly the most stylish and well equipped. He used to brag how his steam hammer would slay even the mightiest beast.
- Quite so!

Even in the forest of terrors, one is never very far from the trappings of humanity...
painter, 30 for a bit of silliness.

Still working on it, but I'll post now since I have to leave work.
EDIT: Ok, finished! Great concepts everyone! Vanvalen, I like your use of color. Marvin5, sweet idea, that's hilarious! :)

Goran would murder this topic..
Burrito - The forestry surroundings are excellent. If the green-eyed creature beside the man is a bunny, I'd remove the protrusion that appears to be it's nose. If you make a small line hinting a mouth, whisker, or jaw, it would be effective here.
dfx outlaw - Can't see anything - maybe it's my computer as usual.
GreyGhost - Hah, the bunny vibe going around must be contagious. As an improvement, you could jazz up the backround with cave details. Just a fun exercise.
Marvin5 - Lord Toffee is a name to be remembered. Takes me back to the children's board game "Candyland." Liking the character, I'd consider taking it farther than the DSG section.
VanHalen - Yes, the colors are superior. The only thing I can suggest is to make tiny areas of spider eggs on the two bottom sides of the image. (Maybe near bushes, shrubs, or other terrifying plant selections)
Hamsta - Decent entry from you - I'd add a yellow rubber ducky!
Aste - Love that idea. The Jack-O-Lantern tribe. "We need your face, human... we need your face."
Sandworm - Ahhh.. piranhas and mutated fairy blueberry dragonflies? I'd recommend that you make the largest green orb look glossy on it's surface. An artist on here named "Cognition.sb" is an expert on creating shiny, believable surfaces on this website. He participates in the COW weekly - one of his images that reminds me of your green orb design is an octopus digitil that he painted. Great to see you alive and postin' - it's been awhile.
Ashton - You have a corresponding ability to draw plants and long leaves. The earthy red colors form a clayish harmony that isn't too common around descriptions of nature. Keep working with that.
Everybody else,
Keep doing you

Vulgar Goran would indeed, but it's weird - the company I kept here daily for some weeks all seems to have stopped around the same time, and I do miss those creations Goran, Crus, demdike etc would put out.
given that I gave this suggestion I should have put something in, but nah ;)
The new crew seems to be doing fine though :P

eblu - There's something about it--being very large, open, with nice lighting, and those eyes (the little forest ones)--that make this piece creepy and stand out a lot more than I would expect it to. Great job. Oh, and welcome!
Vanvalen - I'm really liking all your recent entries!
