Hey dude, these look good, i guess, but they dont speak to me very well. The photos are all based on your poses(since the background isnt that fun to look at) and based on the lighting.

Your poses: eh.. need to work on that. I think number 2 is the best as far as poses go.. but you got to have more expressive poses i suppose.

Lighting: Well, i think the lighting could have been prep-ed better.. The point of the light being to put more drama, more shadows, etc..
Number 6 is the best of the lot as far as that goes, since your own shadow is cast upon certain parts of your face.. but it still needs work.

Overall, if i were to rate this out of 5, id give it a 2. I think if you had a more dynamic and expressive wardrobe, that would have helped a ton. See if you have more poses to work with as well. And as far as lighting goes, well look that up.. there's a million different combinations!

The background is pretty boring and the lighting is not very good. (You have used a flash, haven't you?) You need better light-conditions (The shadow is really distracting here!) and additionally a better background.

just keep it on.

white balance so your wall isn't yellow (before taking the picture).
since you forgot you can use curves to set the value your wall is to white (not as good).

curves -> hue/sat -> sponge:

What I did here was first set the bottom left corner of your wall to white and your shadow to black. Then I slightly desaturated the yellow and altered it's hue a little bit. Finally, I sponged your face a bit because the poor lighting was adding a strange contrast to your skin.

i dont do the s curve.. i do an arching curve then contrast.. then the usm.like 3 times.. but theres a method..

i find myself always editing every day atleast 2 hours with the stash i get every months.. gah.. ack my colors off.. ..well.. my eyes are tired..
