hey gang, just thought i'd drop some designs i'm doing for a comic book called Gamble Symphony. Crits and comments are highly welcome.

I'm not sure I like Dominic's demon form...it looks a little ratty. Maybe a more elegant demon would fit her character profile, I'm not sure what you were aiming for, but from Dominic's sketch, I'd say she's elegant and evil. The demon form looks like she'd be a lowly demon in the world of demons. Just a thought. Otherwise I like the main character sketch a lot, keep it up!

you probably wanted to have an ambigious proportion between feet and head but the head of your main character is way too small! at least that's what I am feeling when I look at this.

ok first Dante's neck and head tooo tiny, otherwise cool character:D . Dominic too small for a deamon in both forms
maybe make his human form a bit more solid, but not muscular. Make- good is nice but seems to be missing something, hmm, give him a jacket i think he'd make a nice crime boss

I'd have to say I agree with the other posts, but I wanted to add that Rose Lin's breasts look very strange being so circular. If you don't have a girl who's willing to pose naked for you to referece, buy a book on anatomy and study that area (don't study it too hard though :rolleyes: ) There should be a nice curve to the breast even with a tight or highly padded bra (although from the amount of nipple pushing on the front of her shirt I would say she's not wearing a bra). Keep on working! Things can only get easier.

It's definately an anime and manga trait, Just look at Fist of the north star, Wittle heads on big bodies. I do think you take it a bit to the extream though.
Some interesting ideas ya have there. Kinda reminds me of that game on the PS2 called Shadow Hearts.

That shirt on her is WAY to 'fuckin form fitting. You know that, right? It wouldn't just perfectly conform to her hippo-sized boobs (in comparison to her head)

You might need a back-support machine for her, as well. Maybe a new concept for that.

Actually, just resizing the head a bit in PS (it shoudn't have anoticable quality drop if scanned at a high resolution) would fix that would make it look a lot better.

thanks for all the great comments, i really appreciate them. Many of the crits were about proportion and I fully agree with the small head (especially Dante...jesus wtf was i thinking!) these are really old, "first" sketchs, so alot of my newer designs are more in tune with proportion and style and whatnot. I'm still at the point I don't want to give away too much on the comic. Alot of the comments could be answered given the storyline but I'll try my best to keep the plot a secret and answer everyone's comments :p

tascmaster: Dominic's a dude lol. But he does have some feminine features. Without giving away too much plot I'll say that the demon form is the real Dominic and the human form is really just a human host for him. He's a parasite who's 2 inches tall and crawls into his host's mouth to take control...ok that's all i can say lol. also he's a lower demon, more overlooked than anything.

Annubissl: it's funny you say that he could be a crime boss cuz i plan on making a prequel of Gamble Symphony which highlights Make-good as a crime boss heh.

oxygen_77: i know how breasts are shaped but for Rose's character and the story i wanted to make her more "imaginary" to contrast her with another character in the comic, Julie Perez. but looking at julie, her breasts are too round as well...oh well ill fix that up in the comic book. here's what julie looks like...

hi good character, now about julie, i think her legs are to thick, unless you wanted them that way, almost cancles.....great jobb though, cant wait to see the first comic....

heh yeah, i wanted a more modern woman look for julie. plus i like girls with thick legs ^_^' i just finished the cover's inks and hopefully the colors will be done by the end of this week and posted in my site, so be sure to check that out!
