The jobs@slavecircus.com email address does not work.
I tried calling Slave Circus Entertainment in Ontario, Canada, to get a better email address to send to, and Directory Assistance has no listing for this company.
Hmmm...

I find your rate very favorable and fair, but just incase you need extra services, check my rates below..
My offered rate of 20$ per page is only for pencil. but if you want me to ink the page if you like my inking based from what you see in my gallery, ink per page would cost an additional 15$ per page. as for full color, i'm giving you my best rate offer of $60 per page of all pencil, ink and color. i accept upfront pay because i also use the payment for the materials i'll be using, say paper, tracing papers and inks. We may also discuss installment: say, payment every week for every 2-4 pages. I'm open to terms that could be discussed. since i'm from Philippines, my clients from there in US pay me through Western Union, that would be the easiest way. we do not have access of paypal here in my country. you can inquire to the nearest western union branch near you. as to the finished product, as a freelancer, i usually email the file of the arts with the attachments, i can send you the file in its max resolution for quality printing.
if you are interested for us to get started right away, send scripts and work details and here's my address you can use to transfer the payment through western:
MARCELINO A. BALAO III
#43-B CAGGAY INTERIOR, TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN
PHILIPPINES 3500
and for me to receive the payment or remittance from here, just give me your full name, address, the 10 digit control number or pin from Western union there, and the amount you sent. This is just a quick intructions and info that you'll need regarding your questions.
do not worry about my capacity and if i can be trusted. i've been working as a freelance comic artist for over a year now and i am very punctual with deadlines and especially with the quality of my output.
I look forward to working with you soon. I really hope that my art style would totaly suite you story. thanks a lot...
just let me know your thoughts, I am open to negotiations!
Thank you so much. Hoping for you favorable response.
Sincerely,
BALAO, MARCELINO III AQUINO

Is the pricing right for this project?
17 illustrations for $1000?, that's less than $60 dollars per illustration!!!
and theres artists that actually want to do this work?, yeeesh, are they that desperate to find some work? or am I missing something.
I saw this post and after reading the requirements and the pay I was just gonna close the page and keep looking at the other posts, but I couldn't believe how many artists replied.

I agree. My rates for a fully colored illustration is $670 for nonexclusive, and $1480 for exclusive usage terms. (I charge flat rates, without royalties for most projects)
At 17 illustrations, that would total $11,390 for nonexclusive or limited usage terms, and $25,160 for exclusive usage terms.
But if he replied and really like my work, I might be able to give him 10% or 15% off or something like that. I would pay at least that much for an agency to find me work anyway.
