This looks great. And it's even twice as impressive.....cuz its in oils. The hand seems sort of like an after thought, but I love the portait. :thumbsup:

The hand seems a bit small in relation to the face. Right now that black area in the upper left of the canvas is competing for my attention too much.

The colors work well for me, but I'd like to see a bit more contrast--just darker areas in the hair. The figure's right eye is rendered very well, and I'd almost like to see the other eye given the same amount of attention.

hey thanks for the great tips and advice. I'm striving to be up there with you guys! I'm really appreciative for your comments.


I digress, I'm noticing that when I'm working in a 'realife' medium I tend not to take as many chances and such.
