[ Keep in mind that perspective is up to you and what you think will best translate into an interesting image... ]

[ So, you might show this scene from afar, to show both the ship and the jellies in full... ]

[ Or perhaps you'll zoom in and we'll see the giant jellies off the side of the ship from the point of view of the deck-hands, showing only a portion of the ship... ]

[ Or it might be a combination of the two: A high shot with a guy in the crow's nest looking down at the jellies and a portion of the ship. ]

[ A perspective like that could be cool, because we'd likely be able to see some of the jellyfishes tendrils under the surface of the water. ]

[ This might be a bit complex, so remember that pulling up some reference pics of sailing vessels, ocean waters, and jellyfish might help smooth out some rough conceptual edges. ]

[ Hop to it! ]

[ Sorry 'bout the delay! ]

[ :teeth: ]

Well it's still technically a ship, and it is sailing threw the water, just not on top. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g28/truepinkas/DSG/DSG1139.jpg

Ashton- I like the water spray in yours, I can get a sence of the impact the water is making as it hits the boat.

Extending for many miles, "the purple road" is the migration route of the purple warship jellyfish. Even the metallic hull of the HMN Chivalry won't come out unscathed when crossing the road.
painter, hour? damn jellyfish :p

Gaahhh... Dan Liimatta - I hear you, man. I've been checkin' in for a new topic, and then when one shows up it just happens to be a killer and at a time when I'm too busy/drunk to work. :dead: I'll get on it tomorrow, but good work so far people.

William b. Hand: Don't think the above means I'm diggin' at you. Time is precious (or should be) for us all, so I do appreciate you giving your time for topics. :)

Hi,

Seeing all the photoshop to tutorials I decided to give elements that came with my scanner a try. Being used to the gimp it took me some while so I took the liberty of integrating the ship with the yellyfish :-)

Cool work everybody.

Here's mine. The jellyfish are not combative- just passive creatures whose moonlight-blessed iredescent glow acts almost as a carpet welcoming home the hero and his princess, a living sign of gratitude from mother nature herself.
