Very cool. The color choice, contrast, and shading are all terrific. Could you post a process of one of your paintings so I could draw some pointers from it?

I am lacking in the skillZ.

Nice characters.. and nice posing.

I do have a couple things I would do to the picture myself. The first would be to get rid of the sun (is it a sun? blurred in the background?) just because the characters dont seem to be picking up any light from it. I would also try something else with the background... the castle (or ruins) is nice but the clouds (atmosphere maybe I should say) don't fit your well rendered characters IMHO. Last of all, though I like the lighting on your characters, I think I would like to see them picking up more colors. Maybe some orange on the blue guy (it would suit the atmosphere).. the other two are nice but the blue seems at odds with the environment to me. Could keep the blue, but try having his skin reflect other colors too.

I really like what you have done so far but that would be something I would do anyways.

All in all.. thumbs up!

Thanks for feedback guys!

Here is a variation on the painting with different color scheme and modified background. I think it can work. Plus some other tweaks.

I will post some of the steps I took to do this piece later on.

yeah, alright this looks better than the first take, but i think you should change the background colour back to something redish...would make it look more like hell then.atm it's a bit colder, which isn't so good for hell, right?;)

I like the first one, better mood to it.
Don’t like the BLUE guy, somehow he jumps out, like he doesn’t belong to the picture.

Anyhoo very good job, but first one is my favourite.

Ahh opinions, opinions…

:D

I do like the second better... like the lighting on Mr. Blue. But I would agree about changing the background back to a warmer color. I like the clouds better in the newer version though.

Keep up the good work :chug:

Edit: .. you know, the first seems more vibrant. Is it more saturated or something? Or is it just an optical illusion because of the change in background color? I notice it especially on the demon in the foreground.

I thought the red color would be better for BG, as someone mentioned-- to I changed the hugh. Hope it works better now.

I like the second version alot. Nice clean rendering with very natural classic poses. If you changed the clothes you could turn it into a rennaissance-style biblical depiction!

What I think would make all the figures seem more unified with the environment are shared colors. Mr. Blue and Mr. Magenta's shadows appear to be desturated blue and magenta. If all three figures had areas of orange-tinted highlights and deep blue tinted shadows they might appear to share the same light source more.
