Ok, so after my past two years of wanting a digital camera, I decided that I could finally afford one, but not a DSLR. It is a Canon PowerShot SD600. So, here are the first few pictures I took (I've only had it for about 3 hours.) I am so excited to finally have a digital camera! And I am now thinking about 'Pop' though I doubt I will have something in time! So, here goes.

great shots man i like the towel rack the most. You have some interesting ideas. I there all good too.
In the towel rack shot you should work a little bit with your F stop to get a fade effect going on it would be really cool.
Your last shot of the chair seems a bit out of focus too. It could be my eyes after a long day.
Other than that your shots are great keep em coming.

Thanks,
I think the shot of the chair is slightly out of focus. Oops. Also, I am trying to figure out if I can adjust my f-stop... I don't think that I can. But just curious, fade in what fashion?
Thanks Il Cielo

Fade as in your background completely drops out after your subject is taken.
Its a cool effect that isn't hard to establish.

Congrats on the camera!
It does not have aperture priority or shutter priority though. But you can use the different modes like portrait, sport etc, to get the effect you want. Portrait will give you the smallest f-number, that is the biggest aperture and the smallest dof. So use portrait when you want the background blurred. Landscape gives you the oposite, maximum f-number and maximum dof, so that as much as possible of your scene is in focus. You can read up on the effect of different modes in the manual.
