I hate titling things but that is sorta what just came into my mind. Anyway, here is something I am working on for my portfolio. Just a quickie pencil thing with some sorta washed out greys shoved in to make it clearer for people that aren't me. Just trying to get some feedback before I start putting down paint etc. Let me know what you think. Thanks

heya, one thing id watch out for is certain tangents that are occuring such as his legs connecting with the robot in the foreground. I think thats the biggest thing that is distracting me right now. otherwise goodwork.

I could say the same thing about his right arm and the seams of the window being tangent. This looks like it will be a good piece when your through. Cant wait too see how you do the lighting.

Thanks guys .. This thing was a bitch as far as tangents. I can definately fix the arm one somewhat (Got wrapped up in other ones and didn[t notice it until late) but I am not sure what to do with the leg other than possibly kicking the rear one back more. Any ideas?

That horned guy looks great, the robot does'nt read entirely like a robot yet though imo. The gun is cool!

Idea: Add space to the left, move the back one a bit more left so we see more of his front leg, and add another robot bottom left.

That would make the current robot's aim less off, the direction of the gaze of the horned guy would be on the other robot, and the viewer's eye would go to the horned guy more, from robot to robot to window to horned guy.

But that;s just a thought.

I'm curious for the colors!

The horened guy reminds me a lot of Hellboy, so my guess is he'll turn out red.

Great pice by the way! and I don't mind the tangets at all, I think that if you colout the various part in complementary colours, it will work quite well where they overlap.

Thanks guys. The guy in power armor (not a robot) should work better in the final I hope. I tried moving the guy left but that added other really funky tangents I also spaced and forgot to draw the back leg of the runnign figure but that is all fixed. I added another (dead) power armor figure at one point but it created more tangents and a sort of stunted composition to me. I wanted to show more of the armor and gun but it just didn't seem to work to me ... had a lot of patches and holes that trapped the eye. I was trying to have the armor dude sweeping the guy toward the runner. Since it is one of those big (Drake or Vasquez from Aliens style) two handed jobbers it isn't real accurate but does a lot of hurting. I think it can still work work that way with the muzzle fire and stuff being stronger to the righ but I dunno.

Will see about popping another power armor dude in there for grins in another pose and see if it works.

Thanks again for the comments.

Yeah just add impacts on the wall.

Tangents... they cause a lot of hurting too :-/ But the picture is great enough and you can use shading and color to get rid of some i guess.

GL!

Just figured I would add an update to the piece. Still a good bit to go but work has been a pain.

Getting further. Need to finish the front figure and mess with the lighting on the running figure to add some gun flash light and maybe a shadow from it. C&C would be appreciated.
