i like the concept behind the vast majority of these photos, it looks like you have spent time trying to find good shots and experimenting with composure, so hats off to you for that. I will say that some of them do suffer from beying a little over busy.
Its a good start and welcome to CA

Welcome on my behalf as well :)

You like nature, eh?
I don't know what to say about #1-2 and 4, they're confusing too confusing (especially #2) :\

Something to consider for the next patch, and I hate to sound like a bitching nazi-communist, but for the viewing pleasure make the images bigger and leave gaps between 'em. :dead:

Hello Dave.

As Sam said your photos suffer from being a little over busy. And that last photo hurts my eyes somewhat, the guitar is a little too strong, but I love the concept of the photo, in fact I like the concept of all the photos you're showing here.

I hope you don't mind, but I've taken the liberty of spacing your photos out somewhat as it seems they (especially the top three) suffer from being too close to each other.

Photos 3 and 6 I'm really taken with, photos 2 and 4 seem to suffer a little. 2 takes hardest to the over-crowding thing, and on 4 the angles aren't quite right. It's always nicer to see lines that we think ought to be horizontal or vertical as horizontal or vertical, unless of course there's something really snazzy being done to them. I can see a little spiral thing going on, but it just doesn't seem on a big enough scale to work (for me at least)

Now that I'm done insulting you I'll say again that I really like 3 and 6, 5 could maybe do with a little shave off the left and 7, as I said before, I love the concept of, but the contrast does pain me a little.

Anyway, I've been evil enough to you and as such have fulfilled my daily quota of 'mean', so now I say post more photos, we want to see more!

Haha, thanks for spacing them out, I forgot to do that.

And I get what you're saying about being to 'busy', I'm trying to develop more of a technique and get my angles down than just sitting, and just shooting the shots. I like the critisizm, (sp?), I'll definatly take that into consideration next time I take some photos. I'm glad you liked some of them, ;D.

Do you think the Nikon N55 is a good camera? I'm getting it soon, I just need to get up to the store, it's around I believe $219.

Thanks again, I'll post some when I take more. :]
