Pirates are almost as cool as ninjas, as we all know =P. It would be nice to get some C&C on this one, too.

how long did you try to work on this?
looks like a 5min job to me...
give it a lot more work, place some emphasis on the coat(more folds and stuff) work on the neck, work on the pants,
make the hair actually look like hair... ARRR...
give the golden parts more contrast,
make the pockets billow out, because he has his hands in there...
overall, he doesn't look very piratey.
he needs a more piratey pose. and he needs to look like he's been sailing the seven seas.. i'd rag up the hair.
nice concept though.
oh, and the nose looks weird. :bash: how i love bashing.

well, this image didn't have ANY critique before i came along and saved it from the drain. and i did say that the concept is good. he just needs.... lots of practice. that's all.

Hehehe. I've tried fixing it, but damn its a lot more work to go back and fix something than it is to start something new. I'll draw a new pirate with dejawolf's advice incorporated.

Nice pic, but, I think it would be a lot nicer if you had a ninja going crazy insane and cutting his throat, it would be TOTALLY SWEET!
