klips

They aren't either for me, they're not showing up. I can see Old Point and the attached image, and that is it. Therefore I'm going to assume they ar so horrible they don't want to show their own faces in public. The colours are attrocious, the focus is off, the dof is wrong etc ;)

More seriously, maybe another host would be a good idea, as I truly can'tsee them.

I find 'old point' really interesting. I quite like it, its like a snapshot of
other peoples lives and makes me ask 'what are they thinking' etc

I like the first one as well, mainly for the colours.

Man! i had no idea they werent showing up.

Is this for everyone or just for klips? Because everything is showing up here.. and i just changed computers...!

Let me know if i need to change my photo host or not. See if the problem's here, or at klips'. Thanks!

Oh, and thanks Alcian.. I like old point too!

Umm I just wrote a LOT of stuff which dissapeared so Im somewhat irritated but Ill try to rewrite it. :/

Glad to see some new work, my favourite has to be the last one, "Icy water", very surreal.
"Worlds problems at age 9" and "Jumping jack black" are other favourites.
"The Power Of Silence", it looks as if she is talking in this one which contradicts the title.
"Mama Rosa" this one feels very 'snapshoty', I mean obviously the woman is the subject but my attention is drawn to the stuff in the background.
"A friendly face", pretty good job on the focus, nice emotion and a good pic.

I think the set as a whole would benefit from a more unified presentation. The borders and titles are a bit over the top i think.
Waiting eagerly for your nature shots!

Btw. You should get a website man. Right now your old stuff just dissapears down in the forums never to be seen again.

@Morbid: Thanks a lot, i usually appreciate your comments.. leave them whether you like my stuff or not.. Just say something.. always! :)

Too bad about re-writing all that stuff, i use Opera browser so that if i happen to make a mistake, or something wrong happens, i can press on the "Back" button and everything will be right there the way i left it.

About the Power of silence.. the contradiction of the title and photo are definately intended.. its ironic.. i love irony!

"Mama Rosa" i like a lot, because it feels very woman-around-the-house sort of thing.. if you see what i mean.

About the website, i have been looking into that, practicing flash, learning html, but there's no way to have a website without paying a fortune for it.
Maybe you might have references for free(or relatively cheap) sites that present photos well and are in flash(so people wont steal stuff).

Anyway.. thanks for your input!

hello there, though i would add my 2p as i has some spare time tonight :)
hey claude, as always good to see some new stuff fro you. It looks like you have been doing a study on people and motion. I like the idear its somthing i need to get around to doing...
So here i go, honast opinions as ever
"Red Alert"
hmm not sure about the tile, i dont think you could do better, I know a title isnt a picture and its the picture which i should be looking at, i think i punchy tiltle can add a lot to a photo and what the photograpa was trying to get accross or thinkning when he/she took the photo. I like the picture i especaly like the lighting on this one. Its almost got a holy devine feeling about it. I think you captured the expresion on the face very well. all in all not a bad picture, the only thing i would have done to change it would be to use a lower F stop so the background was more blurred, i would of possable done a tigter crop as well to get rid of the annoying post to the left of the photo. I know why its framed like that though and i know you like off center photos (i think)

"The World's Problems At Age 9"

over-cooked, im not sure what you done on this one, weather it was the contrast levels or and over sharpning. I know im my own worst enemy when it comes to post prossesing (i go overboard to) this has realy sufferd what is actualy quight a nice photo, look specificaly at the top left of the paving spab, u will see some blue dotting. This is because of the sharpning, boost in contrast and then saturation on top of that....

"The Power Of Silence"
the framing is very nice on this one, nice and simple, and non opbtrusive. the title is very relevent and adds depth to the photo. I like the color/white ballance in this one. I dont have much more to say about it. I like it, im not sure why.

"A Constructer's Office"
sepia and color = no BW + color, possably... The photo just does not work, from a intrest point of vuew im overwellemd by stuff to look at, but nothing specifacly grabs my attention. Im left feeling let down by the lack of subject. That and the sepia effect has left the background with out any deph and feeling flat. Sorry mate, just doesn't work with this one

"Untitled"
im trying to figger out if i can see your reflection in a mirror at the back left of the photo. I been staring at it for about 5 minits. i like the expresion on the face i like the blue and i like the contrast. And the fact that i have been staring at it for 5 minits must meen it gaind some intrest from my brain. good work

"Old Point"
NO NO NO NO NO! please step away from the sepia conversion in photoshop. There is no depth or range in this photo, try again in B&W Although i dont think it will save the photo, the main reasin beying that the point of focus in the photo is probably half way up in to the photo and the people you want to be looking at are not in focus. use a bigger F-Stop next time or use manual focus if your camera is refusing o do what you want it to

"Jumping Jack Black"
I love this, I truly do, 1 for some reason it reminds me of the subway sceen in the matrix (cat rember which one) i love the feeling of movment and the colur, hat off to you, got a good photo there, print it!

"Untitled2"
Dont like it, sorry, i find the beem things at the top distracting and annoying, crop down and boost the fill light a little bit, you may well have somthing then :)

"A Freindly Face"

again, i think this is a great photo, there is so much life and feeling in this photo, if u submitted it to shutter stock or somthing like that i think you would make a fair bit of money off it the color and viberance. Me and me missis both think this is a top notch photo, so you have the samsite sceal of approval....not that that probably matters :) only crit is that i think once again there is a little to much noise in the photo.

"Icy Water"
if you know me you will already know how much i love silowet photos, i love this photo because it makes me feel so cold, I like the hand gesture on the glass as well. I love it :)

all in all i think that you have made a well worth the weight update. Although its not the usual type of photography i go for in general (more of a nature and landscape my self) I can see that you have tryed and done a very nice study in to it. And to gain my attention to do a 1500 word essey in to the photos means you have gaind my respect as a photograpa and some one who i beleve takes it very seriasly and wants and is trying to activly improve there skills. I think that the controbution as a phtograpa and also a pease keeper in this forum should be commended

Hey Thanks sam!

Very good insight.. There are things that i would like to change now, especially after you pointed them out.

As you said, this is the first time i take photos of people, it has been difficult to get what i want out of them and in the right settings. So i still have a long way to go.

Here are a few more(the last of the people batch):
