Hey all. I've been coming here for a while but just registered. Over the summer I'm trying to work on color and concept. This is the first thing I did. Anything you can say about the coloring, please do! Thanx!

My suggestion is: more white backgroud. :D

I am not a pro either but from what I can see I'd say that your colouring makes him look "shiny" like metal or glass while his costumes is actually made of textiles. try using different hues of one colour to add "lights" and "darks"
his lower legs seem too small and I think his arm looks weird too. but I like the rest

About the size, how can you make it smaller?

well, before you upload your pic, crop it so that there isn't so much white, and the way you see it in ps or painter at 100% is the way it will show here.
