interesting concept, my only crit would be his upper set of arms, they look as if they are coming out of his neck. if that were the case, he should have a huge neck, or another set shoulders, and/or chest muskels!
great rendering, love the skins color, the furs done up real nice too~

ya oughta think about why you put the second pair of arms on it. They do not belong. The urge to put something in that specific location is strong.

why?

it looks great :)
maybe a little on the colourful side (childrens book)
if you had made the background a little more furious, it would've rocked.. literally.

and as for the arms "attached to his neck"
you stupid moron. haven't you learned that you can put your arms up like that?

As far as the ogre pic goes...it's really cool. I love the pose and the anatomy issue has already been addressed. I would get a little more loose with your strokes too I think it could add a more painterly dimension to your work and make it look more raw and more pleasing to the eye. Also I think that it looks sort of cut and pasted on there...it isn't interacting with the surrounding environment enough...reflect some of that brown up from the rocks onto the skin like you did with blue from the sky onto him...etc... Great job. As far as everything else in the thread...
