its been awhile since i posted here. Been pretty busy as of late. Hardly have enough time to do stuff for myself. Anyways heres a fairly rendered color sketch. I'm not sure if i'll ever fully render this up, but im happy with it as is right now. Any c&c's are welcomed.

I really like the way the stairs in this image look, but I feel like you didn't add as much detail to the tree on the left... Other than that I see no major problems... good job!

The way the light filters down through the trees into the clearing is beautiful. It gives a great mood to the picture.

If anything, I'd love to see a version of it with a darker forest in place of the light background.

EchoFactor - I was almost thinking the same thing... i'll just make another version with the darker forest and see how that goes.

oxygen_77 - you are right about that detail bit. But it was intended. The focal point of this piece was the stairway and the steps on the bottom right of the composition. Therefore i left everything else fairly suggestive and added details to only those areas i felt was important.

i think it looks great! i love backgrounds like that, where its all over grown sort of jungle looking. it would be great to see this tightened up even more.
