Some early morning sketches I decided to post. Some thing isn't right about them but I can't exactly tell what.
Contemplating wether I want to finish the first one or not.

Nice start to your sketch book. I think you need to work on your value study and think about the human form a bit more... Have you ever read "Drawing on the right side of the Brain" I think it would serve you well to buy it and read it a few times and do all the asigned projects within it... I think it will bring your level of work up a few notches. You have the potentail... you just need to work on it a bit more.
And take reference from life...

You're off to a good start! Keep drawing, and try to mix in more life drawings with the rest. Working from life seems dull in comparison to so much of what goes on around here, but trust me, it's the best way to learn, and it's when you fall in love with color and abstract arrangements of shapes and other fine arts fundementals that you really become versatile as an artist.

I love the giant nose!

I agree with rorke. I have "drawing on the right side of the brain". Its a really good book for helpful tips on drawing from life.

Sweet, people finally looking at my sketchbook! thanks much. I must say though I draw from life for about an hour and a half every day, I'm not posting that because it's all at school. I've seen that book before, and If I weren't broke totally buy it. (thanks anyhow seedling) Yeah rorke I've been getting slack on those values, I should be carefull with that, and think about it more. Thanks again, I'll update this weekend! Sorry if that makes me sound unappreciative of your advice, I'm not.

No not at all.... When I watch too much anime... I start losing my tonel value in my work as well... cause I GET SEVERE cravings to nerd out and draw manga comics... But I do it for about a month and its like I have to learn value all over again when I switch back to traditional art... its a bad addiction.. that one day I pray I will get over...but I said that when I was 12... and that was a decade ago....one day one day. Working all the time really helps me not do that anymore...so... I think that one day will be soon.

And no... that is not grounds to flame me (anyone who reads that) just because I am an anime nerd... I have admitted my addiction... and that is the first step in recovery....SO no flaming me... cause I know what a sin it is to some people here on CA....
anyways I am totally ranting on... so Im stopping now
