Does anyone have this book? I heard that this was a really good book, and was recommended it. I just want to see if anyone here has it or has read it; and if they have it, would they be willing to sell it? ;)
btw, if you don't know what I'm talking about, I speak of "Light for the Artist" by Ted Seth Jacobs.

It is a really good book. It's very dense, and veers into metaphysics at times, but it has a ton of information. Jacobs' work is beautiful, too, and it's full of reproductions.
Unfortunately, it's out of print, and costs a fortune.

A search in Amazon.com says no. :P

Actually, there are probably much cheaper sources you could try. I'm only using that above link as an example.

I have this book. Jacobs is a very wordy author and it can be a struggle to read the book cover to cover. If you read any of his essays on Art Renewal you'd see what I mean. He's a technically superb artist though and if you can get it, it's a good find. Priority-wise, I would invest the 100-200 bucks instead in getting one of Richard Schmid's books, preferrably 'Alla Prima'.
