Grendel, you've got alot of things going right here....and the same w/ the Proteus line. But there are some things that could use tweaking to really bring it together.
Since this work is simply black and white, you have to be Incredibly careful about positive and negative spaces and how the eye reads these. Without the gray tones you lose form and depth very quickly. I would recommend checking out Frank Miller's work. (in particular Sin City)
