I'm just helping someone out. He's a headhunter I've worked with before:

2D / 3D ARTIST

Location: Midwest

Applicants should have strong basic art/drafting skills with the ability to paint/illustrate environments and vehicles, create characters and mechanical designs. Experience with 2D programs (Photoshop and Painter preferred) and knowledge of 3D software would be a major plus. Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of game development experience working on AAA titles, and have shipped at least one game, preferably an FPS title. Degree in fine arts and strong texture/painting skills are preferred."

Location: San Diego

"SR. CONCEPT ARTIST

Applicants should have strong basic art/drafting skills with the ability to paint/illustrate environments and vehicles, and create characters and mechanical designs. I am definitely interested in either positions, especially the San Diego offering.

My name is Bob Steinman, and I have worked professionally for about 11 years now. My history of work has been in graphics, producing everything from illustration to image editing/retouch to graphic design. For the past 2 1/2 years I have been retooling my career direction to emphasize game concept and design. As a result I have had the opportunity to work for a number of clients, including Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Liquid Development, Hypnotix an N-Fusion where I have produced a collection of images ranging from inspirational concept design to texture art, matte paintings and in game art. My specialty is in producing environment and character art, but I am also skilled in the other disciplines requested.

The titles that I have worked on are Mech Assault for console, as well as a few others that I am not at liberty to mention publicly over the net (contact me privately and I could make those other titles available to you) these titles are for console as well as online IP's.

Currently, I am located in New Jersey, but am more than willing to relocate as necessary.

you can view examples of my work here:

taminglight.com (http://www.taminglight.com)

and if you are interested, I can also provide more examples of concept work that I have completed, but have yet to publish onto my site.

My e-mail is:

virgassiz@patmedia.net

if my abilites are of interest, please don't hesitate to contact me.

and thanks Lunatique for posting this.

it sounded the same to me as well, although i am not sure. Your best bet is to check out the post I made. Headhunters charge fees to companies that do hiring, which can sometimes affect the salary you ask for.
Sorry to jump on your thread Luna, but I assume this forum is about artists helping artists find jobs. Not a place for headhunters to scavenge for a %. I am sure you mean well.

I am interested in your posting for a concept artist in the San Diego area. You can find my samples at the website listed below.

http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=323982

I have nine years of experience working in video games and comic books. During my time as an art director in video games, I have been exposed to all facets of a production cycle. I have extensive experience conceptualizing intellectual properties, overseeing its development as well as experience texturing and low poly modeling.

Prior to working in video games, I worked for the comic book industry's top publishers on titles including:

· X-Man (Marvel)
· Venom (Marvel)
· JLA (DC)
· Kid Flash (DC)
· Tomb Raider (Image)
· Witchblade (Image)

My experience as both an art director and comic book illustrator has given me the skills to conceptualize and develop stories thoroughly and efficiently. I feel confident that with my experience and skill set, I can be a strong contributor for such a position.

Sincerely,
Mark Pajarillo

Hello,

My name is Jonathan Nascone. I am currently doing contract work for a small startup game development company called White Knuckle Games in Atlanta, Ga. I happened to run across your job posting. I am very interested in the concept art positions that you are offering. I have currently been working with the art director for White Knuckle Games, and was contracted to assist him in creating the art style and all the current
art assets for a third person cyberpunk action-rpg in
development for the PC. This includes producing some of the conceptual art, environmental design, and elements of the level design. I was
responsible for modeling and texturing for the game, which is done using 3DS Max 5 and Photoshop (although I am experienced in many other programs).

My url is:

Please go there if you'd like to see some samples of
my work and my resume.
Thanks for your time,
