View Full Version : DSG 1136: Sci-Fantasy: ORGANIC RIDER IS ASTRIDE THE REARING CYBER HORSE

[ There is a built in ambiguity to this topic description... ]
[ Interpret as thou wilt. ]
[ Realize that the "cyber horse" need not look exactly like a horse... it need only suggest the notion of horse. ]
[ ... But, a literal interpretation is perfectly great, as well. ]
[ There should be a contrast between the organic and the cyber, though. ]
[ And this should suggest the pinnacle of the great movement of rearing. ]
[ etc. ]
[ Onwards. ]

Well, I was about to not do this one cause it seems beyond me, but I did anyway. Ignore the fact that he looks like he only has one leg? I'm not sure how cyber my pogo stick is, but I'll try harder next time.

Gazboy - This topic is only "way too close to DSG 1099" if you have an extraordinarily limited imagination. Just because both topics include something horselike and a rider of some sort really doesn't make them overly similar. Try to pay attention to the other aspects of the topic descriptions, and also to the extended descriptions/suggestions that I generally include at the top of the threads.

Here's my submission, and "rearing" be hanged! OK, it's not rearing, but it's cool, dangit!

Wow it's been a long time I've done a DSG, it seems you've hit 1000 while I was gone. Has it really been almost 400 days I did my last one...wow.
Good stuff already guys, although I would've expected some more quantity in an imaginative approach to the organic part maybe, although mine isn't that special either.....it doesn't even need to be human.
And iwantjelly clearly wasn't wanting to pay much effort on drawing a head after drawing such a cool 'horse'. One thing though, since you've added a tail, hat acts as a counter balance, so it doesn't really look like it's rearing.
More c&c later.
Trying something new....
----------------------------------------------------
In the far future, after the world already had suffered another ice age and raged a few wars that defaced the world's lands in to dark barrens of scrap and mud, all of human's now so treasured morality is gone.
And thus they are freely messing with the human genome and that in combination with advanced technology, they've created humans to their own wishes.
These so called flesh golems have no need for food, feel no pain, have no fear and are fully loyal to their masters.
This golem has been outfitted on a mechanical Charger, controled by attached nerves, which is perfectly suited for the harsh and difficult terrain which makes up most of the land.
Light and fast moving, Charger make up the front line in battle and as scouts, they are also not very durable, thus cheaply made.

Using an ingenious array of magnets which can both leviatate a living creature and cause controlled and pinpoint muscle contractions, the Sigmaund-Renault chamber offers space personel cyber experiences, more often than not, earthly ones.
In this case, a heavy worlder is riding a horse.

Elow. Trying to push my imagination into coming up with something different. The canon is the one that's rearing up. The war vehicle is the cyber horse.
2 hours. PS :)

Thanks for insinuating I have an extraordinarily limited imagination!!
I posted after the first 4 pictures had gone up and three of them show humans on horse like creatures!
I just think the topic is way too close to DSG1099. Both topics contain a rider and a horse!
Maybe you should look at the "Official Topic Suggestion Thread" once in a while and get some varied ideas, I thought that was what it's there for... or do you think that no one else has an imagination as good as yours??
I don't think I've ever seen you use one of those ideas!
Just because you're a moderator it doesn't give you the right to be rude to anyone you like! I'm offended by your insinuation!

What are you smoking? I want it.
& I agree on the insult, I would too be insulted by someones claim of my lack of creativity when I so leap to conclusions. I should say that it requires quite the feat of human imagination to claim that the two are too close, and for that William should perhaps say "I'm sorry".
Anyway I need your help here.

Not to mention the creativity needed to seat you in the throne of power, but then perhaps the powers that will, the administrators will take your side in this, my lord of lords.
I bet we can never have motorcycles again either, or trees, girls in clothes, girls without and what else have been remotely covered in the DSG before?

( *Sigh* )
Gazboy - Look. I'm sorry I said you had a limited imagination. In retrospect I realize that was unecessarily insulting and a rather childish response to what, at the end of a tiring day seemed to be an errant criticism/attack on my efforts here to keep this thing going. The topics certainly do share characteristics and the connection should not have come as a suprise to me. Although I can't see why anyone would not be able to come up with two entirely different images to satisfy them, to get so defensive about it and snap back at you was dumb and I'm sincerely sorry about it. Frankly, I think we were both silly about it.
As for your comment about listing from the suggestion box, well it's true that I haven't done that in quite some time. There are several reasons for this, but but I'll try to include some of those more often. I'll be getting internet at home again soon, and won't have to do this from the slow computer at work, so everything will be streamlined for me. Including how often I post the topics, and including the ability to actually finally be artistically involved in the DSG again.
dan liimatta - I'm confused... Are you calling me, Gazboy, or both of us, goofy? "Lord of lords"..."throne of power"?? Yikes. This'll teach me to speak in a reactionary and foolish manner.
Apologies to everyone at the DSG for speaking in such a flippant and hurtful manner. I generally try to be measured in my responses, and careful to say only things that will be helpful and constructive, but I obviously failed at that here.
Apologies also, because I have no time to post a new topic tonight as this retail shop is being closed down as I type this, and I'm being booted out. I should be able to put up something tomorrow, though.
Goran, Mad giraffe, IwantJelly, and Crustacean: Nice ones!
