Cool! I like the girl, her gun could use just a wee bit more definition. Oh and you should have drawn the thing she's sitting on.

thanks guys..the project that the girl was drawn for only required a costume concept....and it was a really really fast sketch just to get down the basic idea. so no other details were required, I had to move on to the next set of drawings..
this one was unused and I just felt like playing with it in photoshop in my downtime..but yeah I guess I coulda drew something to sit on.
lol
thanks

I know you said it was only for an assignment and you might not want to edit it at all, but should you decide to edit, in my opinion, the gun she's holding looks a little...what's the right word....fat? The clip is massive, the grip is very thick, and I think the body would look better if it were shrunk down height wise and lengthened. maybe a longer barrel or something. otherwise very nice, I envy you!

the first image definately looks more like it was done in illustrator than photoshop, good job on giving it a different feel! The second work could use more vibrant colours and less opacity to the paint to make it stand out from the background more.. as it is now it's a bit difficult to see...

That first one has a Microsoft Clipart kind of feel to it.

thanks..I think...

there is a method in photoshop for vectorizing your scanned line work usually done on ink work to tighten the inking its called streamlining....well I decided to try it on my pencils and its a pretty cool effect...it takes a lot of tweaking to get something interesting(note: this is not the same thing as posterizing)
then I just colored it with a wacom and several multiply layers...
