need ideas for an investigation proyect

Here´s the history...
I´ve a friend that´s going to do an investigation proyect for the university.
The original idea was to do an investigation of relation between colour and sound, but it unfortunately was not accepted.
Now she´s thinking of doind something related to photorealism but no idea of what.
She asked me to post in that "full of crazy people forum" to see if someone can help.
If you´ve an idea on a theme for an investigation proyect related to photorealism, please, post it here.

How about comparing viewer responses to themes that are presented in photorealistic methods and in more traditional realism or romantism techniques.
