Hello, I'm new to the forum. I'm not an artist but I was hoping I could make requests on the forum that perhaps someone would pick up. This is mostly just for my own benefit, there won't be any payment involved. I do plan on using any illustrations in my Game Design degree portfolio, which will of course give full credit to the artists because I fully acknowledge I can't draw for anything. These pieces will be used to illustrate my skills in descriptive writing and ability to effectively communicate my thoughts to others.
I'm currently writing a series of books that are of the Comedic Fantasy genre. It's a very large series, I have over thrity books planned for it already. It is a mixture of various sci-fi and fantasy elements, basically taking D&D and Final Fantasy and putting them in a blender along with a few copies of Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett for flavor.
I have a massive amount of characters all written up for each story that I would like to have illustrated and will provide descriptions if it turns out to be acceptable here. I should say that the majority of the characters are female (it just sort of turned out that way) but there are many male characters for those of you who specialize in one gender. There's also monsters and cosmic entities, angels, demons and of course Dragons for those of you who like to do creature designs.
I'm partial to the anime/manga style of artwork, but I'm not opposed to others. If any body is interested, I'll post some character descriptions.
