been meaning to start one of these for a while now... just looking for some critics to help me improve. word.

this is my first attempt ever with painter. i like the program, just need to learn it better.

this started as a doodle inclass

fractal took about 5 min to make - and about 45min to render in 3ds max. (rendered at 1600 x 1200)

Hey there Autolatry. I also finally started a sketchbook thread... So I'm not going to claim any sort of expertise. But anyway I like you're first two sketches. The linework is pretty cool and you cleaned it up well in the second version. Though I think that the colored versions seem kind of flat... like there's no dimension.

I agree with the Nautilus, your colors do look kinda flat, but its nothing that practice can't fix. Just get in there and experiment with it, and you'll get better. doing good, you need to work on anatomy more tho, try some life drawings. also figure studies. Keep posting.
