Hey,
I was doodling heads yesterday and thought i might share them. Seems that oif late some skills are returning to me. But need to practice practice practice...
These are all done based on basic head doodles no refs. Yes they are anatomically incorrect ;-) but crits on doing the heads are more than welcome as are crits on shading!
Thx E.

well.. all in all, i really dig the style of shading you've chosen.
however, on the women, their faces need a little less emphasis on the features. it makes them look less fem with all them lines.
otherwise, it's all good, definately my kind of thing.. looks close to what my style has been developing into lately.
mine's still a little on the strange and choppy side. i don't even feel comfortable posting my stuff here because of all this awesome art.
anyhows, imma quit babblin' and keep lookin' around wondering when my skillz may be as rad..

Nice stuff. If you have been looking at Crumb and Moebius it shows, and if you haven't you should!

Yeah i really dig Moebius (Jean Giraud) and Crumb's shading style. They are the bomb. As is Bilal (French comic artist) who has similar style. I just bought a copy of Exterminator 17. That is so awesome!
Thnx sandgrain, you are right about the girls. I'm still figuring out how to get shading on them without it looking like a two days beard ;-) but they need to be shaded too otherwise it would be unfair.
