hi guys
i was working on something today on photoshop and as it was saving the power went out. when i restarted my computer and opened the file. the file opens but it only had background layer and it was all black.

the most recent backup copy was 4days ago. and i did alot these 4days. is there a way for me to rollback to a previous save of the file or un-corrupt the file, if there is such a thing.
i read somewhere that a program called afterFX can export layers, i only need to save one layer and apply that to my old version of the PS file. is afterFX short for a program name? cause i typed that in and couldnt find anything called afterfx.

please help if u can. thanks so much

oh i found a jpeg copy of the file, but its really small resolution. if worst comes to worst and i cant rescue the file, can someone give me some tips on resampling the small image into higher resolution.. all i know is to up the image size then sharpen.

thanks much

If it's jpg it's pooched (tiff is better with resampling). If you can afford it, there are some retrieval apps for corrupted psds for sale online. I've never used them before so buyer beware or try a demo.

yah i tried 3 diff ones... demos... put the PS file thru the un-corrupting process and nothing really changes to the file.
so im working on top of the jpeg right now = (
its not too noticeable on screen so i guess its better then starting over.

thanks for help anyways=)
