Just wanted to put a link here for this blog (http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/) by Ren & Stimpy mastermind John K. The last couple of posts "Take It From Katie - an essay about style versus skill", "Influences Won't Help You Without Skill", "Take it From Shane-and join Cartoon Retro!" and "The Importance Of Having A Lot Of Influences" stand out on an already good blog. Definitely controversial, but have a look yourself.

Yay!! And John K. mentions Genndy Tartaskovsky or however it's spelled: The old director of Dexter's Lab. Thanks for linking this, John.

I didnīt find anything controversial. Just pure logic.
Style is a niche you cave to fit yourself into.

Tip to anyone who'll apply to a Kricfalusi studio, don't submit loose gestures.
(He ranted about it before.)
