Hello, my name is Joe Sabatino and I am the creator of a new and innovative trading card game called "Dynasty." Dynasty is a nice blend of magic type cards like Dragons and Wizards with current military and warcraft type cards like Tank Units and Nukes. I am in need of an artist to create the imagery for 170 individual cards.

This is a job for somebody who has good range in art subjects. A good skill at drawing humans is very important, as well as dragons, fairies, and other such magical characters. I'm looking for something as realistic as possible.

The job I am asking you to do is not very massive. Basically, like any other trading card game, such as Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh, each card has a name and a corresponding picture. Half of the cards are magic type characters and other anonymous things, while the other half is human military and warfare type cards.

Secondly, the cards are small and the pictures of not very complex. For example, you may need to draw a picture of a foot soldier for one, or maybe a tank for another.

Also, I have already selected a picture for each card from the Internet to be the basis for the artwork. Because of copyright issues, I am not legally allowed to use these pictures. However, these pictures will give you a solid guideline so you know exactly what I am looking for.

As for a timeline or deadlines, I currently have none. I am still piecing together what printing companies I am working with and how I will be packaging and shipping the cards, so I do have some time until the cards are "due." I would like to say 'no later than 4-5 months from now,' but it may even be longer than that.

As for payment, I would like you to know that I am not going to go higher than $1000 for the entire project. However, this is a great way to make a little cash and get your name out.

You can contact me at DRJOEYJOE@aol.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

Will your budget eventually have room for expansion- and would you be willing to work with different artists or do you want 1 to do as much as possible?

Well, I would like to keep the artwork as consistant as possible, so yes, if I can get an artist to do the entire job, that would be great.

To let you know, this is a TCG, meaning that there will be hundreds of cards in the future. After I sell the game to Wizards of the Coast, they will need an artist, and I will recommend the artist who did the original set. That means you'll be in great demand.

I look forward to your emails,
Joe Sabatino

Ok so He asks the artist to do a test card... to see if he likes you... which I did.
And then he cutt the project in half

and now he just emailed saying that the project has been canceled all together.

I am a little miffed. Since I spent all that time making a sample card.

I am not going to lie, he is right. I am very sorry. It all happened very suddenly. Several people I thought I could trust bailed on me, which resulted in canceling the project all together. There were problems from the start, and these problems eventually grew into a disaster. Rorke, I did not mean to do this to you. Your work was amazing, no question. Please try and understand what happened.
