I have came across the concept of weight in many books about drawing. But in all of them that concept is vaguely explained. I can't understand what is it about. Can someone clarify it to me?

It really depends on the context. I know the heavies could answer this far better than I, but with regard to line weight, it's how thick or dark you lay it down. In terms of composition, it's how the different elements affect the picture as a whole (depending on their size, contrast, and position in the frame). There's also giving something the effect of weight by making certain the things that would be affected in real life are affected in the piece (i.e. carrying a large suitcase makes the shoulders sag and the body shifts to compensate for the odd balance).
Like I said, though, it's context dependant, so if you could relay the instance, it might help narrow it down.
